All are welcome to visit the centre and explore the many ways to support our activities and work.

Volunteer your time

Supporting the Centre by volunteering is a joyful way to incorporate Buddhist practice into your everyday life. We regularly need people to help around the house as well as with the garden and maintenance work. Occasionally we will need help with a particular task or project that might require special skills or knowledge.

If you are interested in volunteering with us for a few hours each week or each month, send us an email to info@buddhism.ie and we will contact you.

Donations are welcome

Please note that online donations are currently unavailable. This will be resolved shortly. Until then please contact info@buddhism.ie if you wish to make a donation.

Since we are part of the Karma Kagyu school of Buddhism our purpose is to transmit the teachings of the practice lineage headed by His Holiness the 17th Gyalwang Karmapa Orgyen Trinley Dorje

The centre also aims to benefit those who attend here, by offering the space and the tools for developing peace and tranquillity. This is possible because of the kindness of those connected to us through donations, gifts, volunteering as well as simply coming to the centre to practice.

Your contribution will help with:

  • Enabling us to offer a regular programme with meditation sessions as well as Dharma courses and teachings.

  • Inviting lamas and teachers to come and share their knowledge and experience with us.

  • Maintaining the building and grounds for all to enjoy.

  • Developing a broader vision for creating a resident community of practitioners and working towards environmental sustainability.

You can make a single donation or become a Friend of Samye Dzong by making a monthly donation that is in accordance with your own means. The Centre is grateful for your support.
